St Germain How I Love Thee

I dedicate this post to a serendipitous find that happened at the event Omnimedia put together to launch Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Sewing and Fabric Crafts in April. I had this wonderful cocktail t at the event made with St. Germain elderflower liqueur. Needless to say I fell in love with the taste of it. The hubby picked me up a bottle of it on a trip he made states side because we cannot get it in the UAE since our choices for libations are limited because of the whole Muslim non drinking thing. Anywhoo I was trying to find good things to mix this wonderful liqueur with and today I found it: ginger soda. Not to be confused with ginger ale, which I find entirely too syrupy, ginger soda is the real deal made with pure ginger and so it has a spicy kick that the St. Germain works wonderfully with. I highly recommend it because I have not enjoyed a drink as much as I enjoyed this one, in quite a while. You can find some great cocktails to make with this wonderful liquid here . Bottoms up!
